For years, the messages of joy, strength and optimism that Thalí García shares on social networks have become a source of inspiration for thousands of female followers. For many, the Mexican actress represents the proof that it is possible to get up after going through difficult times. However, behind that luminous image, today Thalí has decided to show a more raw and honest reality: she is not well, and she does not want to pretend otherwise.
With total frankness, the actress used her digital platforms to open her heart and talk about the deep emotional process she is going through, making it clear that even those who seem strong also need to stop, acknowledge the pain and ask for accompaniment.
The road has not been easy. In 2020, Thalí García was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, an autoimmune disease that directly affected her health and body. Shortly before her wedding, the actress experienced a gain of almost 20 kilos, a change that impacted both her physical and emotional well-being.
Years later, when she seemed to begin a renewed stage, 2024 came with unexpected blows. That year marked the beginning of a profoundly transforming, but also devastating process, following the death of her first husband, Gabriel Romero. The loss left her emotionally overwhelmed and immersed in a grief that, as time went by, became heavier and heavier.
Thalí García: Breakups, illness and accumulated grief

As if the pain was not enough, in 2025 Thali announced her separation from her second husband, Felipe Aguilar, after eight years of marriage. To this breakup was added one more battle: skin cancer, a disease she managed to overcome, but which left an additional mark on her body and her mood.
With all that accumulation of experiences, 2026 began with the tragedies seemingly behind her, but with a huge emotional weight on her shoulders. It was then that the actress decided to completely open up to her community and acknowledge that she was not going through her best moment.
Through a video, Thalí shared words that resonated deeply with her followers. “2024 swept me away. I had losses of all kinds and by the end of the year I was submerged in a huge depression that I am still fighting today,” she confessed. In her message, she acknowledged that grief became the perfect pretext to abandon herself physically and emotionally.
The consequences of that neglect today are evident to herself. “Today, in 2026, I can’t finish a beginner’s Pilates class at home. I am totally abandoned and weakened,” she expressed honestly, seeking to empathize with those who are going through similar situations and don’t know where to start getting back on their feet.
A process of reconstruction without giving up

Although she admits to being unwell, Thalí García made it clear that giving up is not an option. On the contrary, she decided to share her healing process as an act of transparency and connection. “I wanted to share with you my process because you have always been my best allies,” she said, acknowledging the constant support of her community.
Aware that what used to be easy for her now represents an enormous effort, the actress concluded with a clear objective: “What used to seem so easy, today is taking me forever. I want to see myself completely rebuilt this year”. A message that, far from perfection, speaks of courage, patience and the genuine desire to start over.
