Colombian singer Shakira shared the Spanish-language version of “Dai Dai”—the official song of the 2026 World Cup, which she performs alongside Nigerian artist Burna Boy—on her social media accounts this Friday. The song was originally released in English before the start of the tournament.

The new Spanish-language version was released two days before the World Cup final and comes after the artist performed the song during the tournament’s opening ceremony, held on June 11 at Azteca Stadium in Mexico City.

Will Shakira sing “Dai Dai” in Spanish at the World Cup final?

“In an 11-on-11 game, everyone plays their role—no one gets to play here when you’re giving it your all,” she wrote today alongside a video of her singing the song in Spanish.

Shakira is also scheduled to perform at the World Cup closing ceremony this Sunday at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, where she will once again perform “Dai Dai” before the final between Argentina and Spain.

In 2010, the Colombian singer performed “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa),” the official anthem of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa, which is considered one of the most iconic songs in the tournament’s history, according to Agencia EFE.
