Patriots reach 8 straight wins after dominating Jets

Jets remain sunk with a 2–8 record

The New England Patriots extended their streak of consecutive wins to eight on Thursday with a 27-14 victory over the New York Jets to kick off Week 11 of the NFL season.

The Pats confirmed their position as leaders of the American Football Conference (AFC) East division with nine wins and two losses, the best record in the AFC; the loss keeps the Jets at the bottom of the same division with a 2-8 record.

Henderson shines with three TDs

TreVeyon Henderson was outstanding with three touchdowns for the Patriots, two on a carry and one on a pass.

Venezuelan kicker Andrés Borregales also made two extra points and two field goals.

The New Yorkers got off to an explosive start with a 72-yard series capped by Justin Fields’ 23rd career touchdown run that put them ahead 0-7.

New England Patriots reacted in the second quarter thanks to the power of their ground attack led by TreVeyon Henderson, who crossed the diagonals 2 times to send the game to halftime 14-7.

In the third period Henderson caught his third touchdown of the game on a 6-yard reception.

The Jets responded on their next offensive drive by the same route, sending John Metchie III to the diagonals for a John Metchie III catch to close the gap to 21-14.

In the final period Borregales extended the Patriots’ lead 24-14 with a 44-yard field goal.

He sealed the 27-24 win with another 3-point kick after Justin Fields dropped a fumble that gave possession back to the home team.

Week 11 will continue this Sunday with 13 games, including the clash between the champion Philadelphia Eagles, who lead the National Football Conference (NFC) East, and the Detroit Lions, first in the NFC North, who are looking to maintain their position.

The NFL comes to Spain for the first time

The visit of the Kansas City Chiefs to the Denver Broncos, a duel between teams from the AFC West, also attracts attention.

In Los Angeles, the Rams will host the Seattle Seahawks who are vying for the top spot in the NFC West division.

In Orchard Park, New York, the Buffalo Bills, led by Josh Allen, will take on Baker Mayfield’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Another match to watch will be between the Dolphins and the Commanders at the Santiago Bernabeu in Madrid.

It will be the first-ever NFL regular season game in Spain.

Week 11 will conclude on Monday with the Raiders-Cowboys game.
