The conflict that keeps the world on edge has reached an absolute tipping point. On this 38th Day of war, the coin is in the air: on the one hand, a formal peace proposal; on the other, the starkest threat ever heard from a U.S. president in the modern era.

Tuesday at 8:00 PM (Washington time) is “zero hour”, and no one knows whether we will wake up to an agreement or the start of a global catastrophe.

Trump threatens annihilation of Iran

In a press conference that left reporters in shock, President Donald Trump did not mince words.

Speaking about the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, the president assured that he has the power to end the conflict with fulmination.

“The whole country (Iran) can be annihilated in one night, and that night could be tomorrow itself,” he sentenced.

Trump extended the deadline until Tuesday for Tehran to reopen the sea passage through which the oil that moves the world transits.

If they don’t, the order is clear: bomb power plants and critical infrastructure.

However, in a twist very much in his style, Trump also admitted that he believes Iran is negotiating “in good faith” because, he said, they too are urged to get a deal before the bombs fall.

Iran’s proposal: 10 points for peace

At about the same time, Iran put its cards on the table through mediators in Pakistan.

It is a 10-point document that seeks a definitive cessation of hostilities.

Tehran does not want temporary truces; it wants sanctions lifted and a protocol for safe passage through Hormuz established.

But beware, they are not giving up.

Iranian spokesman Ismail Bagaei was very clear: “We will not negotiate under threats of war crimes.”

In addition, they warned that they have initiated a “domino fire effect” that has already reached targets in Israel, the Arab Emirates and Kuwait.

Basically, they’re saying to Trump, “We want peace, but if you hit us, it’s going to hurt.”

Peace or oil interests?

What made the most noise in the U.S. Latino community was Trump’s confession about oil.

The president hinted that his real desire would be to “take the oil and make lots and lots of money,” but acknowledged that the American people really want the war to end.

Still, he described the Iranian proposal as “significant, but not good enough.”

The balance of a tragedy that does not stop

As leaders in the White House and Iran bicker, the human cost continues to rise.

In Lebanon, the Israeli invasion has already left nearly 1,500 dead, including 130 children.

Israel, for its part, continues to bomb key points in Iran such as the Pars South gas complex, while Iranian missiles have caused tragedies in Haifa, where entire families have lost their lives under the rubble.

Even in the United Arab Emirates, foreign civilians are reported to have been killed by Iranian reprisals.

The conflict is no longer between two countries; it is a regional crisis that has the Houthi rebels launching drones and Israel producing missile interceptors at maximum capacity.

What about you What Onnda, do you think Iran’s proposal is enough for Trump to stop the attack tomorrow, or are we about to see the worst?
