The fight took place in an octagon set up specifically for the occasion in the South Lawn of the White House, where thousands of guests attended an event organized as part of the celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence.

The defeat was particularly bitter given the tense atmosphere that had surrounded the match all week.
