The winner of fifteen majors was driving an SUV at high speed at around 14.00 local time on Friday.

Tiger attempted to overtake a cleaning truck towing a small trailer.

When he swerved to avoid it, he overturned sideways and was forced to climb out of one of the windows.

“He was showing signs of being under the influence of some substance,” said the sheriff, who said no drugs or medications were found in the vehicle.

After the accident, Tiger Woods was taken to the police station and hours later was released.

“It doesn’t matter who you are. If you break the law, we will enforce it,” Budenskiek remarked.
