Spanish singer Rosalía has once again demonstrated that her social commitment goes far beyond music. Through the Rosalía Foundation, the artist made a significant donation to UNICEF to support the thousands of children and families affected by the devastating earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24—a tragedy that caused a severe humanitarian crisis and claimed many lives.

Although the international organization did not disclose the amount contributed by the singer, it did explain that the support will make it possible to launch various emergency initiatives aimed at protecting the most vulnerable members of the population, especially children.

UNICEF reported that Rosalía’s donation will have an immediate impact on the areas most affected by the earthquakes.

Among the initiatives that will be made possible by this donation is the provision of drinking water for more than 30,000 children for one month—an essential resource amid the health emergency caused by the earthquakes.

In addition, the funds will make it possible to provide medical care to approximately 25,000 people over a three-month period, as well as to set up safe spaces where thousands of children can receive protection, emotional support, and activities to help them cope with the aftermath of the disaster.

These initiatives are part of UNICEF’s response plan in the country to address the most urgent needs of the affected population.

After the donation was made public, UNICEF Spain thanked the singer for her support in a message posted on its official platforms.

The organization highlighted both Rosalía’s generosity and the extent of her influence in raising awareness of one of the most serious humanitarian crises currently facing Latin America.

In its statement, UNICEF emphasized that the singer’s voice not only fills stadiums around the world, but also serves to bring hope to those going through extremely difficult times.

The recognition was widely celebrated by the artist’s fans, who noted that such actions reflect a consistent commitment to various social causes.

According to UNICEF figures, nearly 680,000 children are in need of urgent humanitarian assistance following the 7.5- and 7.2-magnitude earthquakes that struck Caracas and several northern states in Venezuela.

The primary needs continue to be access to drinking water, medical services, psychological care, and safe spaces to protect children, who are often among the most vulnerable groups during this type of emergency.

International organizations are continuing to carry out various aid programs as recovery efforts continue in the affected communities.

Before her partnership with UNICEF was officially announced, Rosalía had already publicly expressed her concern about the situation in Venezuela.

During one of the concerts on her tour in Las Vegas, the singer paused to address the Venezuelan people, sending a message of support to those facing the consequences of the tragedy.

In front of thousands of attendees, the artist stated that the country needed the support and solidarity of the international community, and expressed her intention to do everything in her power to help.

His statements were widely shared on social media and received support from followers in various countries.

This recent donation adds to a long list of charitable initiatives in which Rosalía has participated in recent years.

The singer has collaborated with various organizations by donating personal items to raise funds for vulnerable children. She also took part in a charity concert in support of Palestine and volunteered with World Central Kitchen during relief efforts following the severe weather event that affected the Valencian Community in 2024.

With this latest initiative, Rosalía reaffirms that her social commitment is an integral part of her artistic career and that she seeks to leverage her public profile to promote actions that have a positive impact on communities facing emergencies.
