In the most recent episode of Nueva Jugada, the charismatic and expert hosts Alex Loe and Linda Cabazos, who have an impeccable track record in sports journalism and a unique style for “blabbing” the news, put their finger on the pulse of what really happened this Thursday at the High Performance Center (CAR).
Tri’s concentration in Nueva Jugada
Tension was at its highest.
Vasco Aguirre had been clear: “Any player who does not arrive at 8:00 p.m. is out”.
However, what seemed like an ironclad rule turned into a thriller script.
While the likes of Carlos Acevedo (sporting his “Rapunzel” look, according to Alex Loé) arrived with plenty of time to spare, the spotlight was on the Toluca and Chivas players.
“The Toluca guys arrived at 7:57 p.m. Traffic or were they playing him live?” questioned Linda during the podcast.
The analysis did not stop there.
Using Google Maps, the drivers calculated that the Toluca players should have left “scratching” time.
Did they stop for some tlayudas or “machetes” on the road, or was it a strategy to make the technical staff suffer?
El Vasco Aguirre: The one who sets the rule breaks it?
But the biggest gossip was not only the players.
In an unexpected twist, Vasco Aguirre himself did not show up!
At 7:30 p.m., the strategist who imposed the punctuality rule was still “stuck in some ped…”, which got on the nerves of all the Tri’s logistics.
In the end, the technician arrived in time for the dinner, but the scare was not taken away from those present.
Controversy in CONCACAF and “Turco” Mohamed
In addition to the Tricolor chaos, Alex and Linda analyzed the CONCACAF final, where they warned that Mexico “had to dance with the ugliest.
They also did not miss the opportunity to attack the attitude of Antonio “El Turco” Mohamed, whom they described as a “clown” after his recent rudeness.
