England defeated Norway 2-1 in overtime thanks to a two-goal performance by Jude Bellingham and secured its spot in the 2026 World Cup semifinals, thereby shattering one of soccer’s most famous buzzy superstitions.
Social media reacted immediately with posts claiming that Mick Jagger had finally “cleared” his reputation for bringing bad luck.
Of course, as is often the case on the internet, there were also those who joked that perhaps the musician was actually rooting for Norway and not England.
