The Miss Universe Organization (MUO) announced on Wednesday that its 75th-anniversary pageant will take place on November 24 at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum in San Juan, Puerto Rico.
The celebration will include three events that will bring together delegates from around the world “for a week dedicated to the beauty, culture, leadership, and legacy of Miss Universe,” the MUO noted in a statement.
“Celebrating 75 years of Miss Universe is more than just honoring our history: it’s celebrating the extraordinary women who have inspired generations through confidence, purpose, leadership, and service,” said Ronald Day, CEO of the MUO, in the statement.
Day emphasized that the anniversary “will bring together remarkable women from around the world who embody our organization’s values and serve as role models in their communities.”
In addition to the final competition, the MUO will hold two preliminary events.
The first event will take place on November 21 and is titled “The National Costume Show.” It is described as “a vibrant celebration of the world’s cultures, traditions, and national pride, where the delegates will present extraordinary creations inspired by their countries.”
The 75th edition of the Miss Universe pageant will be held in Puerto Rico

The preliminary competition will be held the following day, where the contestants will compete in the evening gown and swimsuit categories before the Selection Committee, helping to determine the finalists for the Grand Final.
“Combined with cutting-edge technology, innovation, and spectacular entertainment, these three unforgettable events will celebrate the global impact and enduring legacy of Miss Universe as we look toward the future,” Day emphasized.
The 75th-anniversary celebration is being held in close collaboration with the Government of Puerto Rico and the Puerto Rico Tourism Company.
Tourism Minister Willianette Robles Cancel added in the statement that the official announcement of the pageant “marks the beginning of a historic celebration for Puerto Rico.”
“During that week, our island will be the setting where the world comes together to celebrate beauty, culture, and women’s leadership, as we showcase the hospitality, talent, and richness of our destination to a global audience,” she said.
“At the Puerto Rico Tourism Company, we continue to work alongside the Miss Universe Organization, the Government of Puerto Rico, and our partners to offer a world-class experience that will have a positive impact on the economy and the tourism industry,” he said.
In addition to the three events, the MUO will hold a series of special activities, including cultural experiences, community initiatives, media events, partner activations, and celebrations that will further highlight Puerto Rico, according to Agencia EFE.
