Christmas is usually associated with family gatherings, celebrations and gifts, but in some workplaces it also becomes a time to recognize teamwork. That is the case of Lili Estefan and Raúl de Molina, hosts of the show El Gordo y la Flaca, who every year have a Christmas gift for all the people who are part of the Univision show.
During a recent broadcast of the program, Raúl de Molina explained that this gesture is not something isolated or improvised, but a tradition they have maintained over the years.

“There aren’t many talents who do that here at Univision, but we buy gifts for each of the people who work with us because they deserve that and more,” the Cuban-born host commented live, highlighting the importance of the team that makes the program possible on a daily basis.
El Gordo y la Flaca, which airs Monday through Friday at 4:00 p.m. ET, depends not only on its on-camera hosts, but also on cameramen, producers, technicians, assistants and administrative personnel.
For Lili and Raul, recognizing that effort is a fundamental part of the work dynamic they have built over the years.
A classic and well-received gift

On this occasion, the presenters opted for a practical and traditional gift: a bottle of whiskey from a well-known brand, designed as a Christmas gift for each member of the team.
Lili Estefan explained how the delivery was organized, sharing that she placed the order with a trusted liquor store to have the bottles shipped directly to the program’s offices.
“I called my friend at Sunset Liquor, the owner sent the delivery here, and all the bottles of whiskey for the team arrived at Raul’s office,” said the driver.
Minutes later, he confirmed that all the gifts had been delivered.
The team’s reaction did not go unnoticed.
During the transmission, there was applause and expressions of gratitude from cameramen and technical personnel, showing that the gesture was well received and appreciated.
Beyond the material gift

This is not the only detail that Lili Estefan and Raul de Molina have with their team during the holiday season.
The presenter also recalled that, on other occasions, they have organized Christmas get-togethers or meals, reinforcing the sense of community within the program.
“From time to time we invite them to a Christmas party to eat as well,” Raul pointed out, stressing that for them it is important to share beyond the strictly professional sphere.
For many workers in the television industry, these types of gestures represent more than just a gift: they are a form of recognition and respect.
In an environment as competitive as television in the United States, where work rhythms tend to be intense, actions like these help to strengthen the work environment.
Undoubtedly, this Christmas gesture reaffirms why both drivers continue to be beloved figures on and off the screen.
