Thirty years after its original founding in 1995, Paty Sirvent surprised her followers by announcing the return of the group Jeans, through an emotional video shared on October 7, 2025. In it, she recalled the beginnings full of dreams, energy and uncertainty, and expressed her excitement for this new stage: “I’m very excited because Jeans is coming back”.
Although the announcement generated enthusiasm and nostalgia, it also raised questions as to who will be part of the group. Paty Sirvent did not specify whether she will retake the original line-up or will undertake a renewed project under the name Jeans Oficial / JNS.
Tensions with JNS and disagreements

The members of JNS (Angie Taddei, Regina Murguía and Melissa López) issued a statement through Bobo Producciones.
They clarified that they are not involved in the announced return and assured that they found out about the announcement like the public, without having been consulted beforehand.

The confusion is even greater when you consider that JNS is the successor group to Jeans since 2015, formed by former members who decided to continue under that name after litigation with Paty Sirvent’s family over the rights to the Jeans name.
This disagreement could mark the return of Jeans with new members.
Or a hybrid version between classic and contemporary or even a parallel project to JNS.
Legacy and expectations

Jeans was a Mexican youth pop phenomenon during the 1990s and early 2000s, with hits such as Pepe, Enferma de amor and Dime que me amas.
Songs that even today accumulate millions of plays on digital platforms.
Paty Sirvent, after leaving the group, adopted the stage name Patylú and dedicated herself to children’s music, away from the youth pop scene.
With this announcement, the expectation is focused on knowing the lineup, presentation dates, possible collaborations and if the nostalgic character will be maintained or if Jeans will evolve with new blood.
The return of Jeans is not just a nod to the past:
It is a bet on the present and the future of Latin female pop, with a name that has marked generations and continues to resonate in musical culture.
