Netflix bid farewell to 2025 in style with the long-awaited denouement of Stranger Things, a closing that crowned a particularly successful year for the platform. Over the last few months, the streaming service consolidated its leadership with highly anticipated returns such as the second season of Wednesday, surprises well received by critics such as Adolescence, prestigious proposals such as Frankenstein or Un fantasma en la batalla, and authentic viral phenomena such as El eternauta and Érase una vez en el oeste.
This creative drive now translates into an ambitious agenda for 2026, which kicks off with powerful releases in the first few months of the year.
‘The Bridgertons’ returns with romance on Netflix

The calendar kicks off with the premiere of the fourth season of The Bridgertons on January 29. The series, based on the novels by Julia Quinn, returns to Regency London to focus on the story of Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson. On this occasion, the character will live a romance of classic dyes with Sophie, a young maid played by Yerin Ha, in a plot inspired by Cinderella.
Benedict will be torn between his fascination with a mysterious “Silver Lady,” whom he meets at a masked ball, and the growing affection he develops for Sophie, never suspecting that both women are the same person. The first part will arrive on the platform on January 29 and the second part on February 26.
On February 6, Netflix Spain will premiere Salvador, a series created by Aitor Gabilondo and Daniel Calparsoro, starring Luis Tosar and Claudia Salas. The story follows an ambulance driver who, in the middle of a violent confrontation between ultras soccer groups, discovers that his daughter is part of a neo-Nazi group. This discovery forces him to infiltrate this environment to understand what led his daughter to take this path.
The production promises an intense narrative and a critical look at youth radicalization, with eight episodes directed entirely by Calparsoro.
One of the most anticipated releases will arrive on March 20 with Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man. Cillian Murphy reprises his iconic role as Tommy Shelby, who returns from exile to face a new conflict in the midst of World War II. The cast is joined by Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth and Barry Keoghan, as well as the return of Stephen Graham.
Spanish cinema and moving biographies

Later in 2026, Netflix is preparing El niño, an adaptation of the novel by Fernando Aramburu, directed by Mariano Barroso and starring Belén Cuesta and Karra Elejalde. The film deals with the grief of a grandfather after the tragic death of his grandson in an explosion at a school in 1980.
Aquel, a biographical miniseries about Raphael’s life, will also arrive, with Javier Morgade and Carlos Santos playing the artist in different stages. The production will cover more than five decades of musical and personal career, with the direct participation of the singer himself.
With this combination of major franchises, Spanish fiction and prestigious projects, Netflix seeks to consolidate a 2026 marked by diversity, emotion and high-impact stories.
