With just eight dates left in the regular season, Major League Soccer (better known as MLS) confirmed the official dates for the Audi MLS Cup 2025 Playoffs, which will culminate on Saturday, December 6 with the MLS Cup 2025 Grand Final.
This final will be played at the home of the team with the best regular season record.
Decision Day: the day that defines everything
The so-called Decision Day will be played next Saturday, October 18.
On this day, the 30 competing teams will play simultaneous matches – the East at 6 p.m. ET and the West at 9 p.m. ET – to determine who will qualify for the postseason.

Playoff round
MLS wild-card matches will be held on Wednesday, October 22.
The eighth- and ninth-place teams from each conference will compete for one more berth in a single match.
The winner will advance to the first round against the top seed.
Elimination stages
First Round (best-of-3 series): from Friday, October 24 to Sunday, November 9, the 16 qualified teams will play a best-of-three series, at least one of which will be at the home of the top-ranked team.
Conference Semifinals: Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23, direct playoffs at the site of the higher-ranked team.
Conference Finals: Saturday, November 29 and Sunday, November 30, with the MLS Cup berth at stake.
Grand Finale: MLS Cup 2025
The postseason culminates on Saturday, December 6 with MLS Cup 2025, which will be played at the home of the finalist team with the best performance in the regular season.
