Inter Miami unveiled on Friday the Leo Messi Stand, a grandstand at its new permanent stadium, Nu Stadium, which will be named after the Argentine player to honor him for the impact he has had on the club since his arrival in the summer of 2023.
“Traditionally, tributes look to the past. They are built from nostalgia. From memory. This one is different. This one is born from the present. From what is happening right now. From what you feel every time Leo steps on the field,” Inter Miami said in a statement.

This is a unique case in sports, according to Inter Miami, which indicated that Messi will be “the first active athlete in the world” to play regularly in front of a grandstand with his name on it.
Images shared by Inter Miami show what the stand will look like, which will read ‘Leo Messi Stand’ in large letters.
And it will have signs with the number 10, in reference to the Argentine star’s dorsal number.
Inter Miami said that fans in the stands will enjoy “special experiences and surprises”.
The grandstand spans from sections 117 to 121 in the lower ring and 217 to 223 in the upper ring of Nu Stadium.
