The Magic stunned the Pistons 123-107 on Monday, while the Spurs beat the 76ers 115-102 for their 60th win of the season on a day marked by concern in San Antonio, where Victor Wembanyama had to leave the game with a left rib contusion 12 days before the start of the NBA 2026 playoffs.
The NBA day, with only five games, took a back seat to the men’s college March Madness final, in which the Michigan Wolverines beat the UConn Huskies.
Spurs reach historic 60 wins

On NBA courts, the Spurs (60-19) reached 60 wins for the first time since the 2016-17 season.
They closed with a 61-21 record and were eliminated in the West semifinals against the eventual champions Golden State Warriors.
The Spurs have also secured the second-best record in the NBA this season.
Guaranteed home-court advantage in a hypothetical final against any Eastern opponent after the Pistons (57-22) lost to Orlando.
All this with the big asterisk of the injury to Wembanyama, who left the game in the first half after being elbowed by Paul George.
In the absence of Wembanyama, who nevertheless finished with 17 points and 5 rebounds, Stephon Castle signed a triple-double with 19 points, 10 rebounds and 13 assists.
For the 76ers, Joel Embiid put up 34 points (Filed as: NBA scores 2026).
Pistons miss Cunningham

With first place in the East secured, the Pistons arrived in Orlando without many of their players, such as Tobias Harris and Duncan Robinson.
In addition to Cade Cunningham, who missed his 11th game and it is unclear if he will return for the start of the finals.
The Magic took advantage of the situation to add their fourth straight win and further tighten the fight to get out of the playoffs in the East.
It was a great day for Orlando, as two of their direct rivals – the only ones playing on Monday, the 76ers and the Atlanta Hawks – lost.
Between the Hawks (fifth, 45-34) and the Miami Heat (tenth, 41-37) there are six teams involved in the fight for two playoff positions.
The Magic (43-36) are currently ninth, tied with the 76ers and Charlotte Hornets.
Paolo Banchero scored 31 points, while Desmond Bane added 25.
For the Pistons, both Jalen Duren and Daniss Jenkins scored 18 apiece (Filed as: NBA Results 2026).
