Mexican singer and actress Lucero is “very excited” to have been on stage for 46 years, which she will celebrate next March with a musical performance in Mexico City that will consist of a “journey to her beginnings” to review the decades she has been composing songs.
“It’s a journey through music, remembering literally since I was a little girl, how many songs and how many stories we have shared. So I’m very happy and excited,” she said Wednesday at the conference to announce the show ‘Siempre Contigo’, which will be on March 27 at the Mexican National Auditorium.
The woman known as “La Novia de America” announced that her next performance will be “very special”, a way to “refresh” her fans with her entire repertoire since she started in the industry, reviewing her songs, from ballads and pop to mariachi tunes.
Lucero, who began as a child working in children’s television programs, highlighted that ‘Siempre Contigo’ is an opportunity to “be close to the people” and feel their “enormous affection”.
“My fans are very energetic, they take care of me and defend me (…) They accompany me and we have a great time, so I’m very excited and hopeful that this will be like a party for everyone and we can continue sharing music,” he said.
The author of songs like ‘El privilegio de amar’ or ‘Vete con ella’ predicted a “very emotional” concert, in which she expects her audience to live a whole “experience” with her through the “common thread” of her songs, of which she made a “careful” selection because, otherwise, her performance would last “about six hours”.
Lucero and his experience with the Pope

When asked about the moment of her career that she is left with, Lucero confessed she was “unable” to choose one in particular because she has lived several experiences that “marked” her, such as singing in front of Pope Francis during his visit to Mexico in 2016 or having performed with the late actress Silvia Pinal.
“It is an unrepeatable privilege because they are impressive personalities and characters who, unfortunately, are no longer in this world. So, I do a recount and I think that maybe one day I will have to make a book or a biography to tell all those anecdotes. Because there is not one that I can say ‘this is the most important’,” he stressed.
For this reason, he was pleased that the good moments “always win” over the bad ones.
“I always try to look for the beautiful and find the best part of what I do,” he added.
Encouraged by the “feedback” from her audience, she assured that she continues to have “illusion” despite the passage of time, noting that the motivation survives thanks to her family and the “pride” that all her achievements provoke in her.
His next show, whose ticket sales begin on January 24, will be on March 27 at the National Auditorium in Mexico City, reported Agencia EFE.
