Los Angeles FC (LAFC) continues to be one of the most dominant teams of the 2025 season in Major League Soccer (MLS). The Californian team defeated Toronto FC 2-0 at BMO Stadium, adding their sixth consecutive victory and confirming their great form heading into the playoffs.
The highlight of the win was that the team managed the victory without its two main stars: Gabon’s Denis Bouanga and South Korea’s Son Heung-min, who were both unavailable due to international commitments. Despite this, LAFC proved that its squad has the depth and quality to compete at the highest level.
Ebobisse and Amaya seal the match

The match started with intensity on the part of Toronto FC, which sought to surprise with high pressure and ball control.
However, LAFC was lethal on its first clear chance:
In the 13th minute, Jeremy Ebobisse opened the scoring with a powerful shot after a great team move.
In the second half, the home side could have increased their lead from the penalty spot, but David Martínez missed a penalty kick in the 60th minute.
Even so, the team did not give up.
The high pressure paid off in the final stretch, when Frankie Amaya took advantage of a mistake in Toronto’s exit to score the definitive 2-0.
With this victory, LAFC reached 17 wins on the season, consolidating its position among the leaders of the Western Conference and sending a clear message for the final stretch of the campaign.
