The iconic Nike Kobe 6 ‘Grinch’ sneakers, worn by Kobe Bryant in the 2010 Christmas game against LeBron James’ Miami Heat, were put up for auction for a minimum price of $10 million by trading platform Joopiter, owned by artist Pharrell Williams.

The green, scaly footwear originally caused it to be known as ‘Green Mamba’ after the player’s nickname, but its Christmas release gave rise to the colloquial nickname ‘Grinch’ a furry, green creature that originates from literature and hates the festive season.

Bryant scored 17 points in his only appearance in these shoes.

A game his Lakers lost 80-96 to the Heat of James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh at the Staples Center (now Crypto.com Arena).

Last August, a trading card signed by Kobe Bryant and Michael Jordan was auctioned for more than $12.9 million by Heritage Auctions.

A record amount for a card of this type in the United States and made it the second most expensive sports collectible of all time.
