The original album, Sincerely, released in May 2025, marked Kali Uchis’ return to singing in English after the success of her all-Spanish album Orquídeas (2024).

With this project, the artist fuses R&B, soul, alternative pop and Latin sounds, reaffirming her bilingual and multicultural identity.

The album reached number 2 on the Billboard 200.

It became one of the most notable releases of the year and cemented Kali as one of the most influential Latin voices of the decade.

The concept behind Sincerely is inspired by the idea of personal letters.

Kali Uchis explained that originally each song was conceived as a missive addressed to someone else or to herself.

However, the loss of her mother and her recent motherhood gave the project a deeply emotional and transformative tone.

When I lost my mom, the letters she left me became my greatest treasure

“This album was born out of that feeling: of wanting to communicate love, loss and gratitude,” the singer has expressed.

With the deluxe edition, Kali wanted to expand that emotional narrative, offering fans new songs that show a more mature, vulnerable and spiritual journey.
