The Cuban vedette, known for her outspokenness and explosive character, was once again at the center of the debate when she gave her point of view on the legal dispute between Belinda and Lupillo Rivera.
During an interview with reporters -including those from the program Venga la Alegría-Niurka commented on the lawsuit that Belinda filed against Lupillo for media and digital violence, and the counter-suit that the singer subsequently filed. According to her, Belinda’s decision was not the most appropriate.
Niurka expressed that Lupillo Rivera has the right to talk about his personal experience: “He is telling what he lived through and has the right to express his feelings, his point of view,” she said.

In his opinion, when a public figure shares a part of his or her intimate life, rumors and speculation are practically inevitable. In that context, suing someone for revealing part of that past seems to him “exaggerated”.
In addition, the actress compared Belinda’s strategy to a preventive measure that she considers insufficient: “If she doesn’t want him to talk, make him sign a confidentiality letter before fucking him,” said Niurka in front of the cameras, referring to the alleged relationship between Belinda and Rivera.
What bothers you about the lawsuit between Belinda and Lupillo Rivera?
From Niurka’s point of view, the legal procedure generates a negative and unproductive energy. She considers that the best way is not to prosecute every comment or private confession, but to assume that public figures are exposed to scrutiny. “These situations always occur when there is a sentimental life between high-profile characters, and the lawsuit seems to me to be oversized,” she said.
He also indicated that part of the problem lies in the fact that Belinda or her team did not foresee that Lupillo could talk about their alleged relationship, which, according to public rumors, would date back to 2019 when both coincided as coaches on the show La Voz México.

It should be noted that Niurka Marcos and Lupillo Rivera had already had a public conflict during their stay in the reality show La Casa de los Famosos All-Stars, where they ended their friendship and launched strong criticisms to the singer.
This history has created a context in which his statements have become more media-charged and controversial.
Niurka Marcos’ intervention revives the debate on the line between freedom of expression and the right to privacy of public figures. Her position defends that, when the personal sphere is shared with the media world, the consequences are also shared.
Although their statements do not go unnoticed because of their direct and controversial tone, they remain one more voice in a broader conflict involving legal, media and ethical issues.
