This match is not a fluke.
The RFEF confirmed that Spain will close its preparation in Mexico just seven days before its official debut in the tournament.
The Cuauhtémoc, home of Puebla and Cruz Azul, is no stranger to big events: with a capacity of more than 51,000 spectators, it hosted the 1970 and 1986 World Cups.
Now, it is preparing to receive the European stars in what will be Spain’s eighth visit to Mexico.

Although the record totally favors the Spaniards with three victories in three matches, the last precedent brings back good memories for the Iberian fans.
It was in May 2008 when Spain beat the Incas 2-1, just before traveling to Austria and Switzerland to win the European Championship that changed their history forever.
Will this match in Puebla be the amulet they need to embroider the second star on their shield?
Spain will arrive in Puebla just seven days before its official debut in the World Cup jointly organized by Canada, the United States and Mexico.
This proximity to the tournament ensures that we will see the main stars of “La Roja” looking for their place in the starting eleven, while Peru will try to break the negative streak against the Europeans on Aztec soil.
Are you going to go to Puebla to see Spain’s stars or do you think Peru will pull off a surprise at the Cuauhtémoc?
If you are in Mexico, save the date because tickets are going to fly!
