FIFA received at least five million ticket applications in just 24 hours to attend the 2026 World Cup co-hosted by Canada, the United States and Mexico, as part of the final ticket lottery before the tournament kicks off on June 11.
The requests were made by fans from more than 200 countries and territories, the international organization said in a statement, which highlighted the group stage match between Colombia and Portugal as the most requested.
Most demanded matches of the 2026 World Cup

Other World Cup 2026 matches that are generating particular interest are Brazil-Morocco, Mexico-South Korea, Ecuador-Germany and Scotland-Brazil.
FIFA added that fans from Colombia, England, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Scotland, Germany, Australia, France and Panama have submitted the most ticket requests.
In the case of Scotland, the 2026 World Cup marks the return of this European team to the tournament after a 28-year absence.
This strong demand for tickets, after two previous draws in which the composition of each group was still unknown, comes amid rising ticket and hotel room prices in the host cities.
Ticket prices according to the attractiveness of the match

The group stage matches are divided into four categories according to their attractiveness.
In the case of those that FIFA believes generate the most interest, a ticket costs a minimum of $265 and the most expensive ones are over $700.
For the final, which will take place at MetLife Stadium in New York/New Jersey, the lowest price is $4,100.
