The breakthrough came in the eighth inning, when the game was still up for grabs.
Tatis found the perfect pitch and unleashed a devastating swing that sent the ball 474 feet, with a batted ball speed of 111.0 mph and a bat speed of 82.2 mph, according to Statcast measurements.
The home run drove in two runs and ultimately sealed the victory for the Padres.
In addition to being the longest hit of the 2026 season, it is also the second-longest home run of Fernando Tatis Jr.’s career.
