After years of world tours, motherhood and global duet hits, Venezuelan artist Evaluna Montaner has decided that this 2026 is the time to return to her own voice. From Miami, the singer marks her official return to her solo facet with the release of “Rollitos de Papel”, a single that moves away from the urban noise to offer an acoustic refuge.

Released this January 2026, the song comes as a necessary balm. In a world (and especially in a lifestyle as fast-paced as America’s) where it seems you always have to be running to deserve success, Evaluna proposes the opposite: stillness as an act of courage.

Evaluna launches “Rollitos de Papel” (Paper Rolls)

Composed by Evaluna herself, the song narrates a deep personal discovery: true love is not the one that makes you run after it, but the one that reaches you when you stop to breathe.

Musically, the track is built on a minimalist foundation of warm guitars and soft percussion, allowing her voice to shine through without filters. The lyrics are a confession of vulnerability and trust in the couple:

“If I stand still / I no longer lose my breath chasing you / You catch me when I stop running / With bubbles and paper rolls / You take care of me when I’m going to fall.”

Recorded at El Taller Creativo in Miami, the production seeks to evoke that feeling of “home” and security that comes with being with the right person.

The return after the success of “La Tribu”

To understand the importance of this launch, you have to look at the context.

Evaluna had not released solo music since “Refugio” (2022).

For the past three years, her career has been closely intertwined with that of her husband, Camilo.

Together they created an empire of hits such as “Indigo” and “Por Primera Vez”.

Just last year (2025), the couple toured the world with the “Nuestro Lugar Feliz Tour” and won the Lo Nuestro 2025 Award for Best Tropical Collaboration for their hit “Plis”.

However, “Rollitos de Papel” reminds us that Evaluna is an artist with a very solid identity of her own.

Since his beginnings in 2013 with “Si Existe”, he has shown a special sensitivity for ballads and devotional pop.

This 2026 marks his reunion with that individual essence.

An all-round artist: From the microphone to the director’s chair

Beyond her voice, Evaluna continues to establish herself as a 360 creative figure in the Latin industry.

It is vital to remember that she is the visual mastermind behind many of the most viral videos of recent times (she directed “El Mismo Aire” and “Machu Picchu”).

Recognized in 2023 with the Tradition & Future award at the Billboard Latin Women in Music gala, Evaluna has balanced her role as mother, wife and manager, and now, she is once again bringing songwriting to the forefront.

“Rollitos de Papel” is now available on all streaming platforms.

It is a song to listen to with headphones, close your eyes and remember that, sometimes, stopping is the only way to move forward.
