Mexican singer Erik Roberto, known as El Charro, confirmed on social networks that his wife, La Mayrita, is already in a relationship with someone else. He made the announcement through a message in which he asked for respect for her and stressed that, although they are not divorced yet, “she has the right to be happy”.
In his words: “Although we are not divorced yet, she has the right to be happy, and she will always have my support. If she decides she wants to be with him as a couple, that is her right. I beg you to leave her alone and respect her decision.” The video circulating on networks shows La Mayrita in a California restaurant sharing with a man while laughing at live comments from followers.

Many fans reacted in support of La Mayrita, stating that “she deserves to be happy” and that “she should be congratulated, not judged”.
Others, however, criticized the way El Charro exposed the situation, calling him “narcissistic” and recalling old controversies.

El Charro’s name also came back into controversy for his statements years ago, when he called Latino communities “flea towns”.
A comment that generated great rejection among migrants in the U.S. On that occasion, he said:
“It is a sadness to think of those güeyes who leave their land, their flea town, to come to the U.S. to waste their time in vices.”
Although he later apologized, many fans still do not forgive him, and this episode continues to be remembered every time the singer appears in the public eye.
