The Miami-Dade County Police found Michael-Anthony Leones Espino, known as “Mykee”—who had been a dancer for Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro and had gone missing on Sunday in South Florida, in the United States—dead, the local authorities confirmed to EFE on Tuesday.
On Monday, officers found 28-year-old “Mykee,” at a road intersection near the train tracks in the West End area, southwest of Miami, where he was pronounced dead, according to the Miami-Dade County Sheriff’s Office, whose detectives determined it was an apparent suicide.
“Mykee,” 28, was last seen in southwest Miami at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to a missing persons report from the Sheriff’s Office, which classified him as “an adult in danger.”
The dancer’s disappearance moved Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro’s fans
Her disappearance prompted fans of Rosalía and Rauw Alejandro—who were a couple and engaged until their breakup in 2023—to ask for help in the search.
“This is the kind of news we would never want to share, but today we need your help. Mykee, one of the ‘motopapis,’ has gone missing, and the authorities are asking for our help in finding him,” the official account of Rosalía’s fan club, @rosaliavtspain, posted on Instagram.
“Mykee,” who has Filipino roots, had a total of about 80,000 followers on Instagram and TikTok, where she shared her dance routines and how she got ready to go to concerts, as she had been on tours such as Rosalía’s “Motomami Tour” and Rauw Alejandro’s “Cosa Nuestra.”
The authorities’ search report did not provide details about the circumstances of his disappearance, but it urged people to “exercise extreme caution when making contact” with him and noted that “the missing adult may need care services,” according to Agencia EFE.
