Mexican singer Belinda will be the Spanish voice of ‘Lilypad’, the new character in ‘Toy Story 5’, sharing credits with singers Bad Bunny, Bizarrap and Spanish actress Penélope Cruz, who are part of the dubbing cast for Latin America and Spain of the new Disney and Pixar animated production.
In the context of the upcoming release of the film, on June 17, Belinda announced the news with Disney in a video posted on her social networks, where she was seen in the vicinity of the Pixar studios in San Francisco (United States).
“Hi, I’m here at Pixar Studios in San Francisco and I’m very excited to tell you that I’m going to be the voice of ‘Lilypad’ in Disney and Pixar’s ‘Toy Story 5,'” the actress revealed about this antagonistic character illustrated as an electronic tablet.
‘Lilypad’ is crucial in the development of ‘Toy Story 5’, as it delves into the idea of how electronic devices capture the attention of childhood which ends up overshadowing the role of traditional toys that in the saga star Woody, Buzz Lightyear and Jessie.

With this participation, the ‘Amor a Primera Vista’ singer joins a cast of international stars that includes Bad Bunny, voice of Pizza with Sunglasses in the original and Spanish versions; Bizarrap, who will play Garden Gnome; and Penélope Cruz, who will voice a new character called Flamenco.
The film will be directed by Andrew Stanton, winner of two Oscars for ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘Finding Dory’, and co-directed by McKenna Harris (‘Ciao Alberto’).
In addition, the soundtrack will once again be provided by Randy Newman, also an Academy Award winner.
‘Toy Story’ was released in 1995, becoming the first feature-length animated film made entirely on computer. The second installment came in 1999, ‘Toy Story 3’ in 2010, and ‘Toy Story 4’ in 2019. The latter two grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, reported Agencia EFE.
