Puerto Rican urban artist Alejo, one of the most sought-after singers of the new generation of reggaeton, presented his new EP, ‘El Playlist’, which he worked on and visualized so that people would “experience the music as a complete journey”.

“This EP is a nocturnal journey, a story where each song opens a new door. I wanted people to experience the music as a complete journey, with its highs, lows and unexpected moments,” said Alejo in a press release.

As detailed in the note, ‘El Playlist’ “transports the listener through different moods and emotions:

From the introspection of ‘Inmortal’, to the final catharsis with ‘Lo Ke Estás Buscando’, passing through moments of partying, sensuality, complicity and freedom”.

Alejo’s six-track EP, which “captures the essence of the Puerto Rican street with a global and contemporary approach,” according to the text, features collaborations with Debians, Jovaan, DIA and BASSY, and musical production by Huertas and Baez.

This project also marks the beginning of a new creative stage for Alejo, who is preparing to take his vision to European stages in 2026 with his long-awaited Spain Tour.

He will tour Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia and Seville, where the intensity of his live proposal is already anticipated.

Alejo has released several albums since he broke into the music industry in 2021:

Among them, ’32 de diciembre’, ‘El Favorito de las Nenas’ and ‘Full Diskoteca’.

At the time of releasing ’32 de diciembre’, Alejo told EFE that his debut album was his “letter of introduction”.

And that “defined” his career as an artist, earning him a nomination for Top New Male Artist in the 2023 edition of the Tu Música Urbano Awards.

For this reason, the digital platform Tidal included it in its “Best of ’22 So Far” roundup.

Billboard magazine considered him one of the Latin artists to watch in the “On the Radar Latin” category and Apple Music named him as part of its 2023 Latin Artist predictions.

Alejo is set to make his debut at Billboard Latin Music Week 2025, to be held October 20-24 at the Fillmore Miami Beach.
