American singer Britney Spears has deactivated her Instagram account, where in recent weeks she had posted messages that worried her audience due to a new dispute with Kevin Federline, her ex-husband and father of her two children.

Clicking on her account on that social network (@britneyspears), where she had some 42 million followers, specifies that it is no longer available and that “the link may not work or the profile may have been deleted.”

One of her last messages was published in mid-October. The author of ‘… Baby One More Time’ or ‘Oops! I Did It Again’ responded to the first excerpts that had been advanced from Federline’s memoir, ‘You Thought You Knew’, in which the DJ and dancer said he was worried about her and assured that “it has become impossible to pretend that everything is going well”.

Spears, who was married to him from 2004 to 2007, rejected in her post the image projected of her as a mother.

“The constant manipulation by my ex-husband is extremely painful and exhausting. I have always begged and clamored to have a life with my children. Relationships with adolescent boys are complex. I have been demoralized by this situation and have always asked, almost begged, for them to be a part of my life,” she said.

In another of his posts in October he seemed to allude to the four months he spent in rehab in 2018. “I feel like my wings were taken away and I suffered brain damage a long time ago. Of course, I have moved on after that difficult time in my life and feel blessed to be alive…,” she noted.

In 2021, Spears put an end to the guardianship by which her father held the reins of her finances and personal life for almost 14 years. Free of that control, the ‘Toxic’ singer has been under the spotlight and received criticism for some of her publications on social networks, where she used to upload videos dancing and posing uninhibited, reported Agencia EFE.
