Brazilian actor Wagner Moura, who was nominated for an Oscar for “The Secret Agent,” is in talks to join Margot Robbie and Bradley Cooper in the new prequel to the “Ocean’s Eleven” franchise for Warner Bros., according to Variety magazine.

Cooper will direct the film, which is scheduled to be released on June 25, 2027, and will also produce it alongside LuckyChap, the company led by Tom Ackerley, Josey McNamara, Milan Popelka, and Robbie.

Bradley Cooper also wrote the screenplay, the plot details of which remain under wraps.

Robbie recently confirmed that the prequel will be set during the 1962 Monaco Grand Prix and will follow the shrewd parents of con artist Danny Ocean, the ringleader of the Las Vegas casino heist in the first installment of “Ocean’s Eleven” (2001), Variety reports.
