The Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will offer a free concert in Mexico City’s Zócalo, the country’s largest public square, which will be free of charge and will feature surprise guests, announced this Friday the head of government of the Mexican capital, Clara Brugada.

In a message on social networks, Brugada announced that the concert will be held next Saturday, April 18, to offer a “one-of-a-kind” encounter.

“It will be a magical evening that reaffirms Mexico City as the cultural capital of the world,” said the head of the capital’s government.

The show by Bocelli, who in 2026 celebrates the 30th anniversary of his album ‘Romanza’, is part of the cultural agenda of the capital, which only on March 1 hosted Shakira in a concert that received 400,000 attendees.

The names of the special guests and the repertoire to be performed by the artist, considered one of the most outstanding tenors in the world, who is also recognized for his versatility in music, having collaborated with Céline Dion, Karol G, Ed Sheeran and even the Mexican Christian Nodal, are not yet known.

With this meeting, the Mexican public will have the opportunity to meet an emblematic opera singer, reported Agencia EFE, with songs such as ‘Con Te Partiró’ and ‘Vivo Per Lei’, both performed in 1995.
