U.S. President Donald Trump said Friday in Washington that he practiced soccer, guaranteed he did it well and qualified that although he did not reach the level of Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, he loved doing it.

“Believe me or not, I played soccer. I played it well, I wouldn’t say I was Cristiano Ronaldo or Lionel Messi, but I loved playing it,” the U.S. president told Colombian TV channel RCN Televisión, alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino.

The draw for the 23rd edition of the World Cup, which will also be hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico, was held at the Kennedy Center in the U.S. capital.
