Shakira is teaming up with Amazon Music to stream one of her shows live

Shakira and Amazon Music announced Monday that the full concert from her Madrid residency will be streamed live next Saturday, and they launched a global initiative to support Latina entrepreneurs and provide free training in artificial intelligence (AI) and technology to one million women by 2028.

“The ‘Las mujeres ya no lloran World Tour’ has become so much more than I could ever have imagined, and I’m very proud of it. I’m thrilled to know that I can take it even further by sharing this special night with fans around the world, together with Amazon Music,” Shakira said in a statement from the e-commerce giant.

The livestream of the final stop on his world tour—during one of his concerts as part of the European residency “ES Latina”—will be available starting at 2:45 p.m. Eastern Time (6:45 p.m. GMT) on Amazon Music platforms without a subscription.

Rocío Guerrero, Director of Music for Latin-Iberia at Amazon Music, told EFE that this is the “first” global live stream of a full Shakira concert as part of its annual “Music Connects Us” event, which this year highlights “The Women Driving Latin Music”.

“If we want to celebrate the women behind Latin music and Latin culture, I can’t imagine anyone else who has been so influential for so many years,” Guerrero said of the Colombian singer.

The Spanish executive highlighted Shakira’s enduring popularity, noting that she has been in the industry for more than three decades, with hits that reached number one in the 1990s and, more recently, with “Dai Dai” as the most-streamed song of the year on Amazon Music.

Guerrero declined to speculate on whether Shakira’s livestream will surpass that of Puerto Rican artist Bad Bunny in 2025—which is currently the “most-watched” in Amazon Music’s history—and stated that the goal “is not to compete, but to outdo themselves” with each new initiative.

She added that the platform will also release a new version of “Dai Dai,” the official song of the 2026 World Cup, produced by Jamaican artist Rvssian, and a vinyl edition to mark the 25th anniversary of “Laundry Service (2001),” the album with which Shakira cemented her breakthrough into the international market, as well as musical content selected by the artist herself.

Shakira and Amazon Music: ‘Women Help’

The music initiative includes “Women Help,” a collaboration with Laboratoria—an organization that promotes women’s participation in Latin America’s digital economy—and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to offer free technology training in Spanish.

“The idea is to ‘close the gap in AI and technology education between men and women.’ We hope to reach more than one million women by 2028,” Guerrero explained.

The AWS Entrena Latinas program will launch in Colombia with students and mothers affiliated with the Pies Descalzos Foundation—founded by Shakira to promote education—who will have access to essential courses and certifications in artificial intelligence to prepare them for new career opportunities in the music and technology sectors.

Another initiative will be “Las mujeres facturan,” a global store that will showcase business products from women entrepreneurs on the sales platform, featuring items ranging from books and podcasts to jewelry, the executive explained.

“Shakira has spent more than three decades showing the world what is possible when a Latina woman refuses to accept limits on her music, her ambition, or her influence. She has helped change the way Latin artists are viewed on the global stage, using her voice to create opportunities for others,” Guerrero said, according to Agencia EFE.
