Singer Irvin “Pee Wee” Salinas revealed in an emotional interview with Hoy that he was the one who found his father dead in his own room.
When addressing the painful episode, the former singer of Kumbia Kings broke down in tears: “It was a very complicated moment to live through,” he confessed, visibly affected. His words resonated strongly as he described such a traumatic loss, which marked him deeply on a personal level.
The revelation comes at a difficult time. On the same night of August 10, Pee Wee was arrested in Edinburg, Texas, on suspicion of driving while intoxicated (DWI).
This incident was not isolated: in January 2024 he already faced a similar charge in Hidalgo County, although, at that time, he was released after posting a bond of approximately $1,500.
During his arrest in 2025, the artist was reported to be speeding, was “shirtless,” and showed obvious signs of intoxication – red eyes and disorientation – leading the officer to determine that he was under the influence of alcohol.
He was subsequently released after posting a $5,000 bail, again facing judicial pressure.

Despite the legal stumbles, Pee Wee showed signs of introspection and resilience.
A week after his arrest, he returned to social networks with a video from the gym accompanied by the message: “One day at a time,” suggesting that he is committed to a process of personal change.

The recent confession – about dealing with the loss of his father and his own arrest – showed a human and vulnerable side of the artist, beyond the stage.
