This Friday, Atlante will face Águilas del América in what could be Colombian World Cup player David Ospina’s debut as goalkeeper for the Potros de Hierro in the Mexican soccer Apertura tournament.
On the second day of the championship, Atlante will be looking for its first win after losing to Necaxa last Thursday, in its return to the First Division after 12 years.

Ospina, who played in three World Cups for his country, was signed this week.
According to reports, he will be ready to make his debut this Friday at Azteca Stadium against a title-contending Azulcrema team, which defeated Querétaro 0-1 in its first match.
Although it doesn’t have a large budget, Atlante has invested in several new signings and this week also signed Argentine defender Aaron Quirós.
This Friday, the team led by Miguel Herrera—who coached the Mexican national team at the 2014 World Cup in Brazil—will have to play its best game against an opponent with quality players across all positions.
It has been revitalized with the hiring of Uruguayan Guillermo Almada as head coach.
It will be a highly anticipated match that continues a round of games that included two matches played early last Tuesday:
The match in which Cruz Azul beat Puebla 2-1 and the one in which Pumas UNAM defeated Toluca 1-2 (Filed under: David Ospina to Make His Debut with América).
