Uruguayan soccer player Bruno Betancor, a champion with Peñarol in the 2023 season and who was currently playing for Deportivo Italiano, died at the age of 22 due to cardiorespiratory arrest.
The club reported this on social media, and the Uruguayan Professional Soccer Players’ Union confirmed it in a statement in which it expressed its condolences for what had happened.
