The film of the final concert of Taylor Swift’s tour, “The Eras Tour: The Final Show,” received five nominations on Wednesday at the 78th Emmy Awards, including one for Outstanding Pre-Recorded Variety Special.
The feature film follows Swift at the final concert of “The Eras Tour” in Vancouver, Canada, where she performed many of her songs, ranging from those on her 2006 debut album to “The Tortured Poets Department” (2024).
The film, available on Disney+, is also nominated for Best Direction of a Variety Special (Glenn Weiss), as well as Best Editing of a Variety Program, Best Sound Mixing, Best Technical Direction, and Best Cinematography.
Swift, who is credited as both producer and performer on the project, grossed more than $2 billion in ticket sales during the 21 months of “The Eras Tour,” setting a milestone in the history of the music industry.
The tour, which began in 2023 and concluded in December 2024, drew a total of more than 10 million people across five continents, making it one of the most successful tours in the history of pop music.
Less than a year later, the singer released her twelfth studio album, *The Life of a Showgirl*, which was inspired by her behind-the-scenes life during *The Eras Tour* concerts and went on to become the best-selling album of 2025 in the United States.
The nominations come just a few days after Swift married football player Travis Kelce in a grand ceremony at Madison Square Garden in New York.
The wedding was officiated by actor and friend of the couple Adam Sandler and was attended by a thousand guests, according to their representative, Tree Paine, who spoke to the U.S. press, as reported by Agencia EFE.
