The separation between Mexican TV host Ana Patricia Gámez and her still-husband Luis Carlos Martínez continues to make headlines. Now, the divorce proceedings have taken a new turn after the TV host’s brother, Karla Martínez, filed a formal petition with the Miami Family Court, requesting temporary financial support and a series of measures related to child support and family expenses.
According to information published by Las Top News, the court documents were filed on June 16, 2026, and are part of the divorce proceedings that both parties have been involved in since October 2025.
Is Luis Carlos Martínez seeking child support?
According to court documents, Luis Carlos Martínez claims that Ana Patricia Gámez decided to stop working and, as a result, stopped earning an income after leaving the show *Enamorándonos USA*.
Based on that argument, she requests that the court take into account the presenter’s past income when determining temporary spousal support, which will allow her to cover various expenses while the divorce is being resolved.
Notable among the requests are:
Temporary spousal support for the husband.
Temporary child support for the couple’s two children.
Continue to cover expenses related to the family home.
Maintain the 50-50 joint custody arrangement.
Determine how to allocate expenses for medical, school, and extracurricular costs.
In the motion filed, Martínez argues that during their 12 years of marriage, both actively participated in the management of family businesses and that the income they earned allowed them to maintain a high standard of living.
The expenses listed in the court documents
The documentation indicates that the family was facing significant expenses.
Notable among these are school tuition payments of nearly $92,125 per year for their two children, as well as a mortgage payment of approximately $88,000 per year.
Martínez states that, as of April 2026, the two were still living under the same roof and sharing the responsibility of raising their children through a temporary custody arrangement.
However, he claims that Ana Patricia later left the family home and requested changes to various provisional agreements.
She also argues that, historically, the host has generated higher income through her work as a television host, digital content creator, and influencer.
The court has not yet reached a decision
So far, the Miami Family Court has not issued a ruling on any of the requests included in the motion.
The case is still ongoing and could see new legal developments in the coming weeks, particularly regarding issues related to custody, child support, and the management of family assets and businesses.
Meanwhile, both Ana Patricia Gámez and Luis Carlos Martínez continue to face legal proceedings that have sparked great interest among their fans and the Hispanic community in the United States.
