The final stretch of El señor de los cielos will come with several surprises for fans of Telemundo’s hit superseries. One of the most talked about is the absence of Iván Arana, who for several seasons played Ismael Casillas, one of the most important characters in the story starring Rafael Amaya.

While the cast is filming the final episodes of the production that marked an era in Hispanic television, Arana has decided to embark on a new professional path. The Mexican actor will not be part of the final season of the series and is currently concentrating his efforts on a completely different project within TelevisaUnivision.

The news has generated reactions among fans of the franchise, who had become accustomed to seeing him as a fundamental part of the Casillas universe. However, the performer assures that this change represents an important opportunity to grow and explore new facets of his career.

Far from the world of drug trafficking and action that characterized El señor de los cielos, Iván Arana now participates in the telenovela Tierra de amor y coraje, a production headed by renowned producer José Alberto Castro.

In a recent interview, the actor explained that for some time he felt the need to take on different characters and move away from the formulas that the public already identified with him.

According to Arana, one of the aspects of the project that most attracted his attention was its inspiration in the western genre, as well as the possibility of working with horses and developing in natural settings. For Arana, this experience has been enriching both professionally and personally.

The actor believes that performers must constantly evolve and avoid being pigeonholed into a single type of character. Therefore, he sees this new stage as an opportunity to demonstrate his versatility and surprise the audience with different registers.

Falcón, a villain marked by resentment

In this new production, Arana plays Falcón, a character with antagonistic overtones that promises to become one of the main obstacles for the main characters, played by Sofía Castro and Emmanuel Palomares.

The actor explained that he usually builds his characters by first analyzing what his childhood was like, as he believes that the experiences of the first years of life have a direct influence on the personality of adults.

In Falcón’s case, the story delves precisely into that past. The character grew up in a hacienda and lived with the Coraje family since he was a child, developing a deep love for Clara, played by Sofía Castro.

However, when they both grow up, he discovers that his feelings are not reciprocated. That rejection triggers a series of negative emotions that end up transforming into resentment, anger and desire for revenge.

From that moment on, Falcón will begin to affect the lives of those around him, becoming a dark figure that will endanger the stability of the protagonists.

Much of the filming of Tierra de amor y coraje has taken place in stunning natural settings located in Arizona, USA.

For Iván Arana, filming in the middle of the desert was a unique experience. The actor highlighted the tranquility of the place, the vast landscapes and the feeling of isolation that these environments offer.

He explained that working surrounded by such scenery allowed him to better connect with his character and find a special concentration during filming. He also said that the skies, the silence and the vastness of the desert contributed to a deeper and more enriching creative process.

As El señor de los cielos prepares to bring down the curtain, Iván Arana begins a new stage in his artistic career. With a completely different character and a story set in the western universe, the actor is committed to reinventing himself and demonstrating that he still has a lot to offer television.
