Spanish actress Penélope Cruz joins the voice cast of the movie ‘Toy Story 5’, along with singers Bad Bunny and Bizarrap, to give life to a new character – a toy forgotten by technology – in the Spanish version for Spain and Latin America.
Disney and Pixar announced the cameo of Penélope Cruz, who will voice a new character, Flamenco, who is part of the community of forgotten toys that live in an abandoned little house in the garden. Puerto Rico’s Bad Bunny will voice Pizza with Sunglasses and Argentina’s Bizarrap will voice Garden Gnome, recalls the release.
“Hi, I’m Penelope Cruz, and in ‘Toy Story 5’ I’m the voice of Flamingo, a poor toy they forget about with the advent of technology. I’ve really enjoyed recording it and I hope you will too when you see it,” says the Oscar-winning Spanish actress, a leading figure in the film industry, in the promotional video for her participation in the film.
Penélope Cruz will have a cameo in ‘Toy Story 5’.

The film will be released in theaters on June 17, directed by two-time Oscar winner Andrew Stanton (‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘Finding Dory’) and co-directed by Kenna Harris (‘Ciao Alberto’), according to the entertainment company’s statement, which recalls that this new Toy Story installment once again features a soundtrack by Randy Newman, also an Oscar winner.
The main characters of the saga, Buzz Lightyear, Woody, Jessie and the rest of the gang, face a new challenge when they meet ‘Lilypad’, a frog-shaped electronic tablet that threatens to eclipse the traditional toys and capture all the attention of Bonnie, the current owner of this unique group of dolls.
‘Toy Story’ was released in 1995, becoming the first feature-length animated film made entirely on computer. The second installment came in 1999, ‘Toy Story 3’ in 2010 and ‘Toy Story 4’ in 2019. The latter two grossed more than $1 billion worldwide, reported Agencia EFE.
