The event, which will be broadcast by Telemundo, will also recognize Mexican-American Becky G with the ‘Global Impact’ award, Mexican Gloria Trevi with the ‘Artistic Trajectory’ award and Puerto Rican Ivy Queen with the ‘Pioneer’ award.

Meanwhile, three-time Latin Grammy Award-winning singer and businesswoman Chiquis, an icon of regional Mexican music, will host the two-hour special, which will air Thursday on Telemundo and the Peacock app beginning at 9 p.m. Eastern time (01:00 GMT Friday).
Organizers promise “electrifying performances, tributes and unforgettable moments” with personalities such as Natalia Lafourcade, Natti Natasha, David Bisbal, Villano Antillano, Carlota Vizmanos, Jessica Carrillo and Justina Machado.
An hour before, there will be a pink carpet to highlight female talent, which has been crucial to the momentum of Spanish-language music in the United States and internationally.
The celebration seeks to highlight the role of women amid record growth in Latin music, which in the United States reached a new high of $1 billion in annual wholesale revenues in 2025, according to the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) on April 9.

This achievement, which marks the tenth consecutive year of growth and outpaces the performance of the overall recorded music market, places Latin songs as the source of 8.8% of total U.S. music industry revenues.
Billboard will recognize female industry executives at the‘Women in Music‘ gala on April 29 in Los Angeles, reported Agencia EFE, where the head of the Society of American Composers (ASCAP), Elizabeth Matthews, heads the list of honorees, which includes Spain’s Sandra García-Sanjuán, president of Starlite Music Group.
