Stop everything! The temperature in Hispanic television is not rising because of the weather, but because of the “darts” being thrown between Telemundo and Univision.
What started as a simple schedule change has turned into a cross of (very direct) hints that has us all glued to the screen. Who is lying and who is telling the truth? In QuéOnnda we tell you what’s going on with this star fight.
The first blow: Jorge Bernal takes out the watch

Everything exploded when Carlos Adyan, host of En casa con Telemundo, questioned whether the competition was really broadcasting in real time.
The response was not long in coming.
On Tuesday, Jorge Bernal opened ¡Siéntese quien pueda! with a message with a first and last name: “People say that we are not live, I heard that Carlitos said it, Carlitos said it. Carlitos, it’s 1:02 in the afternoon with 25 seconds, stop talking, Carlitos, please”, said the Cuban in front of Univision’s cameras.
‘En Casa con Telemundo’ vs. ‘Siéntese Quien Pueda’ feud: “The only original show”.

But if they thought Telemundo was going to keep quiet, they were wrong.
This Wednesday, the ‘At Home with Telemundo’ team counterattacked with a heavy artillery of phrases that went deep.
Carlos Adyan did not miss the opportunity to reaffirm his territory: “Thank you for joining us at the ORIGINAL LIVE show,” Adyan stressed in a tone that left no room for doubt.
Next to her, Aleyda Ortiz finished off the play to make it clear who is in charge.
“The only one live and without filters,” the host stressed, while celebrating that Telemundo continues to be the uninterrupted No. 1 network in the coveted 1 to 5 p.m. time slot.
Rating vs. Strategy
The background to this “tug-of-war” is the new two-hour stage that ¡Siéntese quien pueda! began this week.
Producer Carlos Mesber defended his project, assuring that: “An additional hour is not filled, it is built. It implies being more strategic with the stories”.
However, for Adyan, the key is not time, but authenticity, finishing off with a final dart: “Original segments is what we have for you and of course live television”.
This battle has just begun.
With Univision expanding its schedule and Telemundo defending its crown tooth and nail, the only winners are us viewers who enjoy this high-end “chisme”.
Who do you believe? Are you Team Telemundo or Team Univision?
