The film ‘Nada entre los dos’, starring Mexican actor Gael García Bernal and Uruguayan Natalia Oreiro, will be presented this week to buyers at the European Film Market in Berlin, one of the key platforms of the Berlinale and the film industry worldwide.
According to a statement shared by HBO Max, the rights to the romantic comedy directed by Argentine Juan Taratuto were acquired by Latido Films, excluding Latin America, so the company will handle international sales outside the Latin American region.
“This in-house production became a reality thanks to the trust that Warner Bros. Discovery Latin America & US Hispanic placed in the project, as well as the co-production support of two great partners: Concreto Films and Particular Crowd,” said Santiago López, leader of Cimarrón, another producer of the film.
Gael García Bernal is working on several projects

The script by Taratuto and fellow director Matías Scartascini, was produced in the region to follow the story of Guillermo (Gael García Bernal) and Mechi (Oreiro), two executives working in different divisions of the same company who unexpectedly connect during a corporate meeting outside the office.
“I was interested in questioning the authenticity of certain bonds and portraying the freedom of being able to connect with someone without being tied to mandates or structures, in contrast to the rigidity that is often installed in a consolidated couple,” said Taratuto about the film that questions the “formal decisions of life”.
For the general director of Latido Films, Antonio Saura, ‘Nada entre los dos’ “has all the elements to reach all corners of the world” because it has a global story represented by an outstanding direction and cast.
This feature film, which seeks to “explore modern relationships from a fresh perspective,” is scheduled for theatrical release in Latin America at the end of 2026 and will subsequently be available on the HBO Max platform.
As a director, actor and producer, García Bernal will have an important presence in Berlin this year, reported Agencia EFE, as his film ‘Hombre al agua’, which he stars in and directs, will be on sale at the next European Film Market.
