Vince Wilfork and Asante Samuel, champions with New England Patriots alongside Tom Brady, criticized their former quarterback Friday for claiming he doesn’t care whether or not his team wins Super Bowl LX.
“It’s nonsense, Tom. All that political stuff doesn’t matter, this isn’t political. If you’re a lifelong ‘patriot’ you know what that means. Don’t give me that political nonsense. You don’t think we’re going to win, pick Seattle,” Wilfork chided him. Vince Wilfork stood out as a defensive tackle alongside Brady between 2004 and 2014, during which time he was part of the Super Bowl conquests in the XXXIX and XLIX versions.
Tom Brady’s disinterest sparks criticism

Vince’s and Samuel’s criticism follows what Tom Brady said earlier in the week.
This when he assured that he had no interest in this fight, in reference to the winner between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, who will meet next Sunday in Super Bowl LX at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California.
A disdain that his former teammates did not take kindly to the successful past that Tom Brady had in New England, a team he led to nine Super Bowls, winning six of them.
Asante Samuel, a former cornerback who was part of the victories in the XXXVIII and XXXIX editions of the NFL title game alongside the considered best player in history, even accused him of being envious.
“Brady, you can’t be the only one winning Super Bowls. If you’re upset with Drake Maye and Mike Vrabel, saying, ‘I had nothing to do with this fight,’ that’s not something we wanted to hear,” Samuel wrote on his social media.
The discomfort over Tom Brady’s disdain reached inside the Patriots preparing for the game.
Robert Spillane, the team’s current linebacker, was tougher.

“Personally, I’m disgusted that Brady says he has no interest in this fight.”
“We know he owns the Las Vegas Raiders. So he has to do what’s in his best interest,” Spillane said of the former quarterback’s ownership role.
Tom Brady tried to explain why he dropped that line regarding his favorite in Super Bowl LX.
“I’m in a different phase of my life. I really want to sit back as a fan, enjoy the game and the moment.”
He argued the also Fox Sports analyst, although he stoked the controversy since this Friday he stopped following the official Instagram account of the New England Patriots.
