Colombian singer, songwriter and cultural reference Goyo continues to strengthen her solo career with the release of the audiovisual interpretation of “Cuaderno”, a piece that combines contemporary pop and R&B, distinguished by its intimate, reflective and deeply honest tone.

The track confirms the artistic evolution of the former ChocQuibTown member, now focused on exploring her inner world from a mature and personal perspective.

Goyo releases his new single “Cuaderno”.

“Notebook” works as an emotional metaphor: a kind of open diary where thoughts that are often not said out loud are written down.

Over a smooth R&B base and minimalist production, the song addresses heartbreak, memory and the process of healing without denying the pain.

Far from excessive drama, Goyo opts for a serene narrative that recognizes vulnerability as a form of strength, a message that connects especially with Latino audiences who have learned to rebuild from difficult experiences.

The lyrics are constructed from the everyday and the sincere, allowing the listener to identify with universal emotions such as loss, introspection and the need to let go.

In that sense, “Cuaderno” is not only a song of rupture, but also an exercise of self-affirmation and emotional clarity, reaffirming Goyo’s ability to transform personal experiences into close and deeply human musical stories.

The official video, recorded in Miami, reinforces this introspective atmosphere.

Filmed from a building overlooking the bay, the audiovisual is based on a simple and almost domestic aesthetic, moving away from big productions to focus on emotion.

The film was directed by Yanki Martínez, who chose a sober visual narrative, based on contrasts between black and white with subtle color accents, resources that accompany the melancholic and contemplative tone of the theme.

The city functions as a silent backdrop, underlining the sense of isolation and personal reflection.

First Premio Lo Nuestro nomination

The release of “Cuaderno” comes at a significant moment in Goyo’s career.

In January 2026, the artist received her first solo nomination for Premio Lo Nuestro, announced by Univision.

She competes in the Best Female Combination category for “En Tu Marea”, her collaboration with Colombian singer Greeicy, a song that has also been well received by Latin audiences in the United States.

Both “En Tu Marea” and “Cuaderno” are part of “Pantera”, Goyo’s first solo album of original music.

The album is composed of 14 songs in which the artist pays tribute to her Afro-Caribbean and Afro-Colombian roots, addressing themes such as identity, cultural resistance, self-love and female empowerment.

The project represents a new creative stage in which Goyo positions herself as the narrator of her own story, without losing the social commitment that has marked her career.

With two Latin GRAMMYs® and 11 nominations as a member of ChocQuibTown, Goyo is recognized as one of the most influential voices in contemporary Latin music.

Throughout his career he has been a key figure in the representation of the Afro-Latino community, bringing a message of pride, diversity and resistance to international stages.
