2026 will be packed with many hit series.

With the arrival of the new year, the television panorama is once again renewed. While 2025 left behind much talked-about productions such as It: Welcome to Derry or the long-awaited closure of Stranger Thingsthe calendar restarts and 2026 is shaping up to be a year full of relevant premieres.

Different platforms are betting on long-awaited returns, new seasons and narrative universes that seek to capture audiences once again.

The Pitt and the returning hospital drama

One of the first series to return to the screen will be The Pitt, considered one of the most acclaimed productions of 2025. Its recognition was reflected in major awards, including several Emmy and Golden Globe nominations.

The second season premieres January 9, 2026 and continues to portray, in real time, the intense dynamics of an emergency room in a Pittsburgh hospital. Noah Wyle leads the cast, joined by Patrick Ball, Katherine LaNasa, Supriya Ganesh and Taylor Dearden, who bring to life doctors and healthcare staff faced with critical minute-to-minute decisions.

Back to Westeros with Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

The Game of Thrones universe expands again with The Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a prequel series set a century before the events of the original story. It is scheduled to premiere on January 19.

The plot follows Sir Duncan the Tall, a brave but inexperienced young knight, and his squire Egg, as they travel through Westeros at a time when the Targaryen dynasty still occupies the Iron Throne.

Marvel and the prelude to Avengers: Doomsday

Marvel will also have a prominent presence in 2026 with Wonder Man, a series centered on Simon Williams, played by Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

The story kicks off after an encounter with Trevor Slattery, played by Ben Kingsley, and functions as part of the narrative path leading up to the cinematic release of Avengers: Doomsday.

Romance and secrets in Bridgerton

Period romance returns with the fourth season of Bridgerton, which will premiere in two parts. The first will arrive on January 19 and the second on February 26.

This time, the focus is on Benedict Bridgerton, played by Luke Thompson, who changes his perspective when he meets the enigmatic Silver Lady during a masked ball, played by Yerin Ha.

Intense stories and expected endings

The television adaptation of Como agua para chocolate reaches its conclusion with the second season, scheduled for February 15. The series picks up the story of Tita and Pedro after Mamá Elena’s intervention, keeping the chapters named after traditional dishes.

Apple TV+ joins with Imperfect Women, a thriller based on the novel by Araminta Hall. Starring Elisabeth Moss, Kerry Washington and Kate Mara, the series explores a crime that rocks the lives of three lifelong friends. It premieres March 18 with two initial episodes.

Finally, after four years of waiting, Euphoria returns with its third season. The story picks up with Rue, played by Zendaya, now in Mexico, as she faces debt and extreme decisions, while Cassie and Nate continue their complex relationship in the suburbs. With these premieres, 2026 promises to be an intense year for series lovers.
