The Colombian Karol G has launched on Youtube ‘La PremiEre’, a TV special that is part of the universe of her latest album ‘Tropicoqueta’ and that was broadcasted this weekend on televisions in forty countries.
La PremiEre’, produced by the singer’s Bichota Films, was filmed in Mexico City, Cartagena, Los Angeles and Medellin and this weekend it was shown on some twenty television stations.
“So many different generations united listening to my music. Seeing the nostalgia that people can feel listening to a song of mine is completely magical,” says Karol G in a note distributed by the artist’s agency.
The project was born as a dream of the Colombian singer to pay tribute to the Latin vedettes and with the objective of gathering family audiences in front of the television, as in the old days.

Directed by Carolina Giraldo, Pedro Artola and Stillz, the special included ‘Dile Luna’ with Eddy Lover, ‘Coleccionando Heridas’ with Marco Antonio Solis, and ‘FKN Movie’ with Mariah Angeliq, as well as special appearances by La Tigresa del Oriente and Brazilian vedette Valeria Valensa.
La PremiEre’, with a visual aesthetic of the 90s and 2000s, was seen in countries in North America, Central America, South America, the Caribbean, Europe, Africa, Asia and Oceania, and was the leader in its time slot among men and women aged 25-34. And its broadcast on Youtube has already accumulated 466,000 views.
Tropicoqueta‘, the artist’s new album, has made Pitchfork and Rolling Stone’s list of the best albums of 2025. In 2026 KAROL G will be the first Latin artist to headline the Coachella festival, reported Agencia EFE.
