Mexican singer and actress<\/a> Thalia was once again the center of attention on social networks after joining an international breast cancer awareness campaign. Her intention was to share a message of solidarity and prevention within the framework of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, celebrated every October. However, the publication she made for that purpose unleashed an intense public conversation, in which most of the comments focused on her physical appearance rather than on the health message she was trying to spread.<\/p>\n

Through her official Instagram account, Thalia shared a photo accompanied by a text in which she expressed her commitment to the cause. “October is Breast Cancer Action Month, and I’m joining @AmericanCancerSociety to support those who need it most. Join this cause and take action today at cancer.org – together we can make a difference!” the artist wrote.<\/p>\n

The purpose of her publication was to promote early detection, encourage prevention and support the actions of the American Cancer Society, one of the most recognized organizations in the fight against cancer. With this gesture, the singer of hits such as Amor a la mexicana<\/em> and No me acuerdo<\/em> sought to use her influence to encourage citizen participation in a global public health cause.<\/p>\n
