with new album"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The renowned Chilean-Mexican artist Mon Laferte presented in Santiago de Chile her long-awaited new album entitled Femme Fatale, which will be released on platforms on October 24, 2025.<\/p>\n<p>This project represents a clear intention on the part of the singer to redefine the term &#8220;femme fatale&#8221;, transforming it from a stigma into a symbol of female empowerment.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>A new look at the concept of &#8220;femme fatale&#8221;.<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_91250\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-91250\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-91250\" src=\"https:\/\/nuevaonda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/femme-4.jpg\" alt=\"Mon Laferte\" width=\"1200\" height=\"569\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-91250\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: Mon Laferte&#8217;s Instagram<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Mon Laferte explains that, in past decades, this epithet had negative connotations.<\/p>\n<p>However, in this project he consciously embraces it.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;In the 1950s I would have felt bad if I was called that, but in 2025 I love it&#8230;I love being that confident, free woman who uses her sensuality and charms,&#8221; she stated.<\/p>\n<p>Inspired by the way she was titled by the press (&#8220;the femme fatale of music&#8221;) and by her experience in the musical Cabaret in Mexico City as Sally Bowles, Mon Laferte takes an artistic step towards introspection and reinvention.<\/p>\n<h2>Sound, collaborations and album aesthetics<\/h2>\n<figure id=\"attachment_91251\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-91251\" style=\"width: 1200px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-91251\" src=\"https:\/\/nuevaonda.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/femme-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"800\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-91251\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">PHOTO: Mezcalent<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n\n<p>The album combines new influences of jazz, soul and R&amp;B, with a theatrical cabaret aesthetic that reinforces his artistic vision.<\/p>\n<p>It consists of 14 songs, with previews such as &#8220;Otra Noche de Llorar&#8221;, &#8220;La Tirana&#8221; with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/nathypeluso\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nathy Peluso<\/a>, and &#8220;Esto Es Amor&#8221; with Mateo Sujatovich (leader of Conociendo Rusia).<\/p>\n<p>Artists such as Tiago Iorc and Silvana Estrada also participate, which broadens its Latin American scope.<\/p>\n<p>Mon Laferte describes the work as &#8220;very personal&#8221;
